ESP Creative Writing from Engineering Students’ Perspectives: A Case Study

Creative Writing (CW) is an important skill that helps students achieve progress in learning English as a Foreign Language (FL). It also them improve fluency, motivation, confidence, and creativity. However, most for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses focus on technical English, CW under-utilized to practise. As result, this study examines university students’ perceptions of ESP the process enhance its quality. This used qualitative research method interviewed twenty engineering from Abu Dhabi. The findings demonstrated creativity needs be developed by reading writing, while extracurricular linguistic activities should considered promote CW. In addition, need well motivated think FL when they practice writing process. They encouraged creatively logical way rather than relying memorization. Finally, recommends developing encouraging practise inside outside classroom quality lifelong academic employment purposes.
